Parkes bowling and Sports Club has 2 new regional champions.
Sisters Jan McPhee and Kim Warren – Evans have won the regional open pairs and are off to State playoffs next year at Dubbo. Game score 20/18. What a fantastic result.
Results of the Gersbach/ Freeman comp between ourselves and the Railway bowling club were as follows. In the top grade all 3 rinks were won by us with a big board total of 72 to us and 55 to the Railway bowlers. In the lower grade only 1 of our 4 rinks won with the Railway winning comprehensively on the big board to give them an overall win. Timing was everything yesterday with the rain bucketing down with thunder and lightning 10 minutes after completion of the games.
