Parkes Shire Council: Local sporting groups and talented individuals have the opportunity to apply for a grant, through Round 1 of the Parkes Shire Sports Grants Program. Round 1 has $30,000 available for a Sports Grant and $5,000 for a Ris­ing Star Grant, which can assist sporting clubs and organisations with programs, equipment, facilities, and development op­portunities, or individual sportsperson. Bill will cover topics like recycling, wish-cy­cling, and the many waste issues we face, especially in relation to toys.
