2026 Central West Car Club Charity Show ‘n Shine

October 22, 2026 By Jeff McClurg and Jo Hemming

Sponsored by the Parkes Leagues Club the Encouragement Award was presented to Luke Holland from Eugowra with his 1965 Ford F100.

This year was our 22nd year for the Central West Car Club Charity Show ‘n Shine and the very first at our new venue, McGlynn Oval in Parkes. The grounds were prepared beautifully by Parkes Shire Council and they supported us well, so many thanks go out to the team from parks and gardens for their hard work and to the events team for their sponsorship.

Our other sponsors were Parkes Tyrepower, Kustom Autospa, Littlewoods Smash Repairs and Parkes Leagues Club and we greatly appreciate their support in helping fund the event and their presence on the day. Big thank you to Parkes Can Assist who helped out on the gate for both the car show and the swap meet and of course to all our helpers from the CWCC and beyond.

The weekend started on Friday night with an informal gathering at Bushmans Dam and a casual cruise up and down Clarinda St before meeting at the Parkes Leagues Club for a drink and a meal and more friendly chats. We had 20 or more vehicles along for the cruise.

Saturday was the main event with an early 6am start for the swap meet. The crowd grew throughout the morning with plenty of bargains from bottle-tops to bumpers and heaps more.

The big deal was the show ‘n shine starting at 9am with a total of 167 vehicles on the paddock including tractors, motorbikes and cars and even a couple of trucks.

There was plenty of food available and live music from local youngsters Easy Goin’.

You can check out the Central West Car Club Facebook page for pictures and results form the Show & Shine.
