What does Anzac Day mean to you?

April 21, 2023 By Roxane Manley

Geoffrey Suttie: My partner heads to the dawn service each year. I hope people understand it’s not just a holiday, it’s a remembrance day

Shaun Lawler: It’s very symbolic, and all about honoring the servicemen. I hope to see the younger generation carry on the tradition of the day

Aleisha Batterhm: My dad served in the Navy, so we always honour those who served, and my mums birthday is also on Anzac Day.

Pauline Cracknell: Thinking about the poor soldiers who died to defend our country, I hope the young ones understand what it is all about.

Lorraine Nelson: It is good that we have a day dedicated to remembering the fallen soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

David Todd: My favorite gift ever was probably my first mountain bike that I was gifted by my dad when I was 12.
