Dear reader,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank a long-term member of our team who has recently moved on to a new chapter – Lisa Brien.

Lisa is an extremely talented and valuable graphic designer and journalist who has been involved in The Forbes and Parkes Phoenix for the last nine years. She has played a major role in the suc- cess of the group with her tireless efforts in designing the advertisements and layouts The Forbes and Parkes Phoenix newspaper, and before it, The Forbes Phoenix and The Parkes Phoenix when they were individual newspapers.

She has also consistently cast her journalistic eye on editorial pieces published in the newspaper, assisting with writing and proof reading to ensure articles are of a high standard.

From our massive annual Parkes Elvis Festival edition of the newspaper, to other special features and down to our regular weekly editions, Lisa has done it all, and produced an extremely high quality product in a timely manner each and every time.

She has served many of our advertising clients through the design of their ads, always ensuring to follow through with the clients’ requests and design ads that are in line with their branding theme.

As a designer and a journalist, she would be an extremely valuable asset to any business or organisation that requires graphic design or copy writing, and I would encourage anyone in need of these services to have Lisa as their first consideration. I would like to personally wish Lisa the very best of luck for her future and thank you for her dedicated service to The Forbes and Parkes Phoenix newspaper.
