Maralyn Nash Book Launch: “The Naked Artist Journey”

November 5, 2026 By Roxane Manley

Maralyn Nash pictured with friends Katherine Stitt from Forbes and Katherine Cannon from Parkes at Parkes Library during her recent Book launch and mandala inspired art exhibition.

It has been a successful year for Parkes artist and author, Maralyn Nash, who has been busy promoting her book: The Naked Artist Journey – 7 Steps to Peel Back the Layers & Rediscover Your Joy Through Art & Creative Self-Expression.

Maralyn has attended book launches and art exhibitions showcasing her mandala inspired artworks at Parkes Library, Orange City Library and Bondi Pavilion, Bondi Beach, Sydney.

The inspiration to write this book originated from a travel memory as a hippie in the medieval kingdom of 1970s Kathmandu and the discovery of a magical book on mandalas in a bookshop, tucked away in a winding laneway off Durbar Square.

After art school, non-western art, spirituality and a bohemian lifestyle became her artist’s muse with an exotic array of adventurous journeys throughout India, Africa, Egypt, Greece and the Pacific Islands.

Maralyn has written expressively on the early days of being a pioneering Art Therapist in Sydney onto many twists and turns overcoming numerous challenges in later life.

Maralyn facilitated a series of well received Introduction to Art Therapy and Mandala Workshops at the Marramarra Maker Space, Parkes Library with more Mandala Workshops planned for the upcoming Christmas school holidays.

More information on Maralyn’s upcoming Creative Journaling Workshop on Saturday 14 November in a stunning farm cottage near Mudgee can be found on her co-facilitator’s website https://wildfirecollective.my.canva.site.

Her book, The Naked Artist Journey is available at Inkwood & Ivy Bookstore in Parkes, The Book Dispensary in Forbes and via her website www.maralynnash.com.au
