The CWD Fours and Senior Fours were played at Parkes Railway this week.
In a magnificent final two Parkes teams played each other with a thrilling finish with only one point separating the teams after the last end. Gwenda Carty, Cherie Frame, Liz Byrne and Rhona Went defeated Kim Evans, Jan McPhee, Maree Grant and Pat Cooney. In the Senior Fours Joan Simpson’s team lost to Canowindra.
It was a wintry day on Tuesday with two games of pairs and a game of triples played. Diane Howell, Hilda McPherson, and Merilyn Rodgers defeated Chris Curteis, Marja Iffland and Maureen Miller. In the pairs Eileen Bradley and June Burgess beat Frances Charlton and Betsy Johnstone, while Lea Orr and Lorraine Bates defeated Carol Reed and Helen Harvey.
A Trading Table will be held next week on 25th June.
Nominations for Club Triples are now open and close 9th July at 12pm. To play social bowls ring Table Selectors Betsy Johnstone and Marja Iffland between 9am and 9:30am.
