Get Your Heart Beat Up At Pulse Gym

October 20, 2016 By Maggi Barnard

Pulse Gym opened its doors just over a month ago on 5th September at 9A Clarke Street in Parkes. Rosemarie Gustowski, a life long resident of Parkes, is the new owner. She is busy doing a Certificate 3 in fitness, as well as a
nutrition certificate.

Rosemarie found her passion for the industry when she was a member of a gym. “I loved the atmosphere and the way the business was run with such passion. I wanted that for me,” said Rosemarie.

Members are happy with the new gym with one saying: “The facilities are so much nicer – clean, new toilets that don’t leak, lock up parking, air conditioned and heated, fresh and a fantastic new start for a great gym.” Contact Rosemarie on 0410 679 424.

Get Rid Of Unsightly Skin Conditions

August 18, 2016 By Maggi Barnard

Body Express has the new Vasculyse 2G to help you get rid of skin imperfections. It is safe, non-invasive and effective treatment for any skin imperfections, provided by a new generation, easy to use unit. You no longer need to live with unsightly and unpleasant skin conditions. Vasculyse 2G will free you from these appearance-spoiling conditions to help you move freely and confidently without the self-consciousness that blemishes can bring. You will look better…
and feel better about yourself.

Vasculyse 2G is a thermocoagulation system that can be used on all skin types, men or women, to deliver immediate visible results. How does the Vasculyse 2G work? It produces perfectly targeted heat energy resulting in a thermal lesion. Heat is generated in the capillary vessels resulting in the instant disappearance of blemishes without any risk of lesion to the epidermis. After treatment tiny temporary scabs may appear. This non-invasive procedure is relatively painless. It uses mild currents that have been employed in the esthetic world for more than four decades.

The 2G can be pre-programmed to treat different conditions including:
• Telangiectasia (dilatation of capillaries causing them to appear as small red or purple clusters, often spidery in appearance)
• Blotchiness (superficial telangiectasia)
• Stellar Angioma
• Flat Ruby Points
• Raised Ruby Points
• Flat Skin Tag
• Skin Tag with Stem
• Milia
• Cholesterol Deposits

Telangiectasia occurs when minute blood capillary vessels are permanently dilated, producing tiny little red lines visible at the surface of the skin. It is a condition that develops as we age, usually appearing in the mid-40s, sometimes earlier on those with fair skin. Extreme cold weather and excessive exposure to the sun are the most recognised causes.

Small capillary vessels are responsible for cell nutrition. Their impairment can affect the appearance and function of the skin. During Vasculyse 2G treatments, the damaged vessels are coagulated. In time, new healthy capillaries will regenerate, cell nutrition will resume, and the appearance of the skin greatly improves.

During treatment, the probe simply touches the skin surface, following the dilated capillary. Vascular blemishes disappear on contact. Most other conditions are successfully treated in one or two sessions with minimal skin reaction.

Figure It Out

March 17, 2016 By Maggi Barnard

We’ve all been there- standing in front of the wardrobe with a feeling of slowly rising panic and frustration as we yell that we have, ‘nothing to wear!’ despite an already bulging rack of clothes staring back at us. Apparently women only wear 20% or their wardrobe 80% of the time. So why do we struggle to choose clothes and how do we go about feeling our best every day?

First, find a frock that fits your figure. Are you a pear, hourglass, athletic, apple, petite or plus-size? If you’re unsure of your shape, get a friend to take your measurements (that’s waist, bust and hips) and type them into an online body shape calculator. Once you’ve ‘figured it out’ you’ll be one step closer to feeling glam in your garb.

Secondly, choose clothes that complement your lifestyle. I’m guilty of what’s known as Saturday Night Syndrome. This is a terrible affliction where I go into a shop fully intending to buy sensible work clothes and end up leaving with flash cocktail dresses and low cut outfits definitely not suitable for day time wear. Then, come Monday, I’m left staring into the abyss of my sequinned and lace filled wardrobe.

Try and buy clothes that will suit things that you actually do, such as work, or places you go on a daily basis. A great wardrobe isn’t just about amazing clothes but about reflecting your own lifestyle. Another neat trick that I’ve tried is going shopping with a close friend and letting her or him buy your clothes for you and vice versa. They are bound to choose things you would never dream of wearing yourself but usually have a keener sense of what may look good on you than you do. Why not give it a try this weekend and let me know how you go? Your best mate may just turn out to be your dream personal stylist!

As time goes by it’s also important to update your wardrobe with items for work and play to maximise your outfit ideas. If your wardrobe is full to the brim have a keen look at how old some of your clothes may be. I still have a size 10 playsuit hanging in my wardrobe that has been there for over five years (no, not kidding) just on the off chance that I might fit into it one day.

So you know what they say, there’s no time like the present, if you fancy some Easter retail therapy, why not pop into 141 On Main or The Red Chandelier and check out their gorgeous stock. Both shops have the latest in fashion trends when it comes to clothes and jewellery. Happy Easter all and stay fabulous
