The official screening of this year’s Mock Crash Video took place at the Parkes Pavilion on Tuesday. The NOT A STATISTIC! Youth Driver Program was filmed this year, instead of the live demonstration to high school students as was the practise in previous years.
Ten high schools will take part in this year’s program starting next week, which includes a pre-lesson, the video and a follow-up lesson. The youth actors involved in this year’s program, local emergency services, councillors, council staff and invited guests attended the screening on Monday. The video will also be used to train new actors.
