Parkes Hosts One Of Biggest Squash Doubles Tournaments In State

The Parkes Services Squash Centre hosted one of the biggest Doubles Squash Tournaments in NSW last weekend.
The event is steadily growing in numbers each year, with players travelling from all over NSW and regionally. Players came from as far as Leeton, Sydney, Newcastle and even further afield from Victoria and ACT.

This year’s event saw over 65 teams compete in the two-day event sponsored by Parkes Shire Council, Parkes Services Club, Totally Workwear and All Settlers Motor Inn.

The results were:
Men’s Open: Dave Fuller (Bathurst) and Nathan Fuller (Wyong) defeated Jay Kross (Parkes) and Geoff Wyatt (Parkes)
Mixed Open: Zoe Hood (Parkes) and Matt Clarke (Grenfell) defeated Luke Barry (Newcastle) and Georgie Lane (Dunedoo)
Ladies Open: Zoe Hood (Parkes) and Tracey Taylor (Grenfell) defeated Zoe Collins (Sydney) and Alice Collins (Singleton)
Men’s A: Jack Quinlivin (Albury) and Col Thompson (Leeton) defeated Chris McQuie (Parkes) and Tom Stechly (Parkes)
Ladies A: Claire Quinlivin (Melbourne) and Michekke Quinlivin (Albury) defeated Jade Jennings (Wagga) and Nicola Baines (Albury)
Mixed A: Tracey Taylor (Grenfell) and Rodney Cotter (Grenfell) defeated Scott Johnson (Sydney) and Sydney Johnson (Sydney)
Ladies B: Jane Swindle (Parkes) and Sarah Ostenfeld (Condobolin) defeated Colleen O’Bryan (Condobolin) and Tara
Baxter (Condobolin)
Mixed B: Kym Knight (Orange) and Chris Elkington (Orange) defeated Tara Baxter (Condobolin) and Andy Pettini (Condobolin)
