Shop Locally: Shop Parkes

May 1, 2020 By editor

During these unprecedented times, our local businesses are doing everything they can to continue to deliver their products and services to our community.

“During this tough time, it has been fabulous to see the positivity, kindness and support from our community,” said Parkes Shire Mayor, Cr Ken Keith OAM. “For our convenience and safety, many of our local businesses have quickly innovated and are now offering online services, delivery, click and collect and takeaway options. Now more than ever, it is more important to look out for one another and support the ones who need it most.”

There are a number of ways residents can support local businesses:

Get it to-go
Discover the great range of local takeaway options now available. From drive through to takeaway to delivery, the options are endless. View the Local Takeaway Food Guide for what’s available, www.visitparkes.com.au.

Buy now, use later
Purchase a gift voucher or a Shop Parkes Gift Card to use at a later date. Help the cash flow while keeping it local.

Shop small
Whether its online or over the phone, many businesses in Parkes are getting creative in an effort to continue trading. Head to their website, social media pages, or give them a call to find out their new trading arrangements. View the Local Retail Guide for details about what our local retails businesses are offering.

Love Our Locals (virtually)
Support your favourite business by leaving them a positive review, liking their social media pages, and sharing their content.
