Shop + Win In Parkes!

June 23, 2016 By editor

An exciting new promotion launching in Parkes this June could be your ticket to an amazing holiday. Parkes Shire Council is excited to announce the ‘Shop + Win’ campaign for June and July to drive visitation and spend to local businesses. Customers will be given the chance to win a Royal Caribbean Cruise, simply by shopping in Parkes at any participating store until Saturday 16th July.

Parkes Shire Council’s Brand and Marketing Manager, Katrina Dwyer, says; “The local shop and win campaign is an initiative designed to create destination awareness and increase spending in our local Parkes CBD. The campaign is designed to be simple and flexible allowing all types of businesses to participate, which will reinforce to consumers that it all adds up in Parkes for quality shopping, cafes, accommodation and services.” Ms Dwyer went on to say, “Parkes boasts a dynamic calendar of events and promotions that traditionally fall seasonally in the warmer months of year.

Following on from a very successful Christmas Shop Local Sparkles campaign in December, a winter shop local campaign was identified as an effective way to support local businesses.” The campaign’s prize incentive to consumers has been donated by We Know Travel in Parkes, a fabulous 8-night cruise for two people sailing the beautiful Coral Sea to New Caledonia, Mystery Island and Lifou in February 2017. “With the generous support of We Know Travel Parkes, this is a great incentive to entice people to shop in Parkes during the local shop and win campaign. It also provides the ideal opportunity to capture qualitative and quantitative visitor data to enable more targeted marketing activity in the future” Katrina Dwyer explained.

So, how do you enter? Simply look out for the posters in participating shop windows, or go to the special offers page at visitparkes.com.au for a full list of participating stores.
