2020 Free Cuppa Registrations Open: Local businesses are invited to help tackle driver fatigue by registering to take part in next year’s ‘Free Cuppa for the Driver’ scheme from 1st March to 31st May. The scheme encourages drivers to stop at participating businesses for a free cuppa to take a break from driving long distances. The scheme will be operating in over 20 local government areas in the Western, South Western and Hunter Regions of NSW from the Victorian border to the Queensland border and to the coast at Port Stephens. Since its inception ten years ago the scheme has given away more than 20,000 free cuppas throughout NSW. Last year it was operational in 50 towns and cities and 101 participating businesses, including 15 local participating businesses in the Parkes, Forbes and Lachlan Shire Council areas. The closing date is Friday, 18th October. If your business would like to participate, contact Melanie Suitor on 6861 2364 or email Melanie.Suitor@parkes.nsw. gov.au, or register on the website www. freecuppa.com.au
