October 20, 2016 By Maggi Barnard

Peter Dixon and John Green recorded a double win on Sunday when they took out their fifth Men’s Foursomes Championship as well as the Dixon Physiotherapy Handicap section. The triumphant pair first won the championship in 2007 and have had further success on another three occasions. They will travel to Campbelltown to tackle the NSW Men’s Foursomes Championships in November.

Runners-up were Cameron Butler and Lachlan Buesnell who finished on 161, some 8 shots behind the victors.
In the consolation division Tony Hendry and Peter Bristol spreadeagled the field to take their first championship title by 10 shots from Michael Smith and Wayne Parker. Like the winners they also had success in the handicap section.

The Ladies Foursomes Championships also on Sunday saw sisters Lynne Guise and Kaye Jones blitz the field in convincing fashion with Cherrie Phillips and Glynis Conroy in the runner-up position. Consolation winners Colleen Staples and Dawn Wakefield proved too consistent in taking out their inaugural championship event with Lesley Fisher and Denise Charlton filling the runner-up position.

Both Guise and Jones, and Staples and Wakefield also snared the events handicap divisions which were sponsored by Network Video and Parkes Betta Home Living.
